2it.com coming
A quick note that my site 2it.com is almost ready. In fact, by the time you read this, it may be live.
On another note, I still have plans to change up this ol’ Drudge Blog…

As the Drudge Report has turned into just a political spin machine, I’m done with it.
As such, this Drudge Blog site will become a new site very shortly.
Happy Election Day!!
Shameless plug for another of my sites:
Headline Zone - discuss the election, all things news, or anything on your mind…
I haven’t posted here in a long time. I have little positive to say about the Drudge Report anymore. It seems to be little more than an outlet to protect the political status quo at this point. It’s more and more overt as the election season presses on. Like many, many Americans, I’m tired of the same old toxic fumes and sour outlook on the world that permeate media outlets like the Drudge Report.
It’s been an interesting progression from where I started years ago in high praise of the Drudge Report. Time to detox, everyone. More…
Several interesting – and pressing – things are going down right now, which I won’t go into, but this will be my last contributing post on this blog.
I want to thank all readers who’ve contributed insight, feedback, even story links related to Matt Drudge and media-related topics.  Most of all, I want to thank Lance for inviting me to post here on his site. For my part, it started as a lark and then snowballed into a creative exercise while I was shaping my novel. Sometimes I tried to offer a serious analysis based on my research. Sometimes I indulged in good old-fashioned camp. But it’s always been stimulating, and the conversation continues.
Questions - of an academic nature - related to Matt Drudge, the Drudge Report, or new media in general can be directed to regopark@arcticmail.com. Keep in mind that this blog was never intended to be a pro-Drudge propaganda vehicle and that I do not know, nor have I never been connected with, Matt Drudge in any way.
Thanks for a great almost-three years. It’s been surreal.

It’s a busy month in Regoland, so I have yet to join in the fray as some media character resembling Matt Drudge runs amok and morphs far out of his creator’s control. I’ll also won’t be online tomorrow when Matt turns 41 flavors. But to commemorate the fact that he’s 40 and holding (he mentioned on the radio this summer that he had “just turned 40″…oh, okay) check out a fun 411 from the past:
