Battle for New Orleans

Ever look at a Drudge headline and say, “I knew he was going to say that”? Was it Matt or was it someone else who polled the “Favorite Drudge Headlines of the Year” last December 31? (I think “Leash Girl” made it). That seems an eternity ago now.
I wouldn’t call today’s “Battle for New Orleans” a favorite, but it certainly is a potent mixture of poignancy, truth, sensationalism, and all-out Drudgeness to garner some type of historic, if not ironic, recognition.
Speaking of irony, the speculation on Drudge Radio last Sunday night was about how the mainstream press might be distorting the apocalyptic proportion of the storm. What no one knew yet, of course, that the real story is not the category of the storm but the aftermath.
As weather-obsessed as Matt is, I fully expect him to be talking barometers and apocalypses when I return from my 2-week vacation.
