Photo Guessing
We can only guess what kind of arrangement, informal or formal, that Drudge might have with Yahoo!. He’s been using their news images for years. I’m not so quick to assume he hasn’t worked with them in some way on it. And if you pay (money or other arrangement) to use images, you generally don’t have to credit them. Or Yahoo! just doesn’t mind, due to the fact that he has very prominent Yahoo links and occasionally links to a news story on Yahoo! News. Your guess is as good as mine. I’m giving Drudge the benefit of the doubt on this one…..

Anyone who wants to can launch an investigative report into this issue and find out whether such a relationship exists with Yahoo. I don’t really have time for that right now, but maybe someone else does…
I want to believe that Drudge at least respects the same intellectual property rights as he reserves for his own work. But my “educated inference” and gut feeling, after all the research I’ve done on him, is that this Yahoo utilization is an example of Matt’s carelessness. He can be a careless, cursory worker whose mind runs a million miles a minute (which is not always a bad thing). Sometimes he blows off people and things he ought not to blow off. Initiating an arrangement with Yahoo does not sound like something Matt would do for a couple of reasons.
I really want to emphasize that he is no less moral than the average Joe. Most of us wouldn’t break into other people’s houses or squat on their lawns, but we might cut through their yard if it saved us time and we didn’t think someone would notice and make a stink out of it.
Anyway, considering the extensive defense I’ve written on Drudge on so many issues, I don’t want to come off as blind to his faults.
We appreciate questions and feedback from readers, by the way, whether or not we affirm them or agree with them…:)

I definitively think that he’s worked out an arrangement. When all of a sudden an image is slammed by drudge’s 12 million users, they’re going to notice. Furthermore yahoo’s image files are generated specifically for the user requesting them, after a short amount of time the image expires and can no longer be used. So, i think Rego’s wrong.
