He’s posted his “playlist” at least once before but hasn’t consistently. I remember when a caller complimented him on this, he named the person in California who actually manages the soundboards. So, it’s not exactly something he micromanages.

He mentioned in an interview with Radar that he’d like to DJ full time if he could get enough money together, but I don’t think he’d seriously do that unless he “retired”.

  2. Jon Ernst says:

Matty has put up the playlist many many times. He was doing it on a regular basis following his Sunday night shows…then all of a sudden he just stopped posting the list and that was that.
I liked the list..and I missed the list.

I hope that Matty continues to
    post the music list.

Maybe Matty can get a deal to put out a Drudge Radio based
    CD type of thing.

    I can dream…I can cream.

  3. Lance says:

Must have been a while ago. I don’t remember it if I saw it before……

  4. Jon Ernst says:

Lance….yes…it was a while back…maybe as far back as a year or more.

Matty was responding to all of the people asking about the music….so he started to share the night’s playlist up
    on the website.
He would place the list midway down somewhere on the righthand side column…along with the other Drudge info/contact stuff etc.

    Matty loves the music.
It would be fun if he ever decided to pump up his pretty site with some regular background tracks.
That way he could deliver some news links and be a sort of DJ at the same time.
I LOVE the idea…but I don’t know if he would or could do it.

It would be great to refresh the Drudge site and start to hear some Pet Shop Boys start to pump away in the background as the link lines get scanned away.

Maybe a music sponsorship would work…like this Drudge site tune?…click her to buy etc….or click here to download the same music file for a fraction of the cost.
    ;-)

Madonna’s making news in the day?…the Drudge site could go all Madonna music. :-)

….whatnever….I’ll continue to hum my own tunes to the headlines.

There’s nothing more annoying than a website with background music. Thank God Matt will never, ever sink to such lows.

  6. RegoPark says:

Great idea, but don’t get your hopes up. He admits he’s “the worst marketer out there. I just don’t care — I throw all my energy into the site.”

I wish I had a dollar for every good idea Matt has heard but will never do…

  7. Mick Taylor says:

Yeah, it works the same way as the New York times, ABC, CBS, NBC and CNN.

The New York Times writes a story, then all three broadcast networks and CNN report the same thing in lock step.

Which is worse, Drudge or the New York Times?

I say the New York Times is worse, they do everything they can to undermine our armed forces. They focus on the stupid acts of a few soldiers and report them over and over again as though they are common occurances. All the while ignoring the absolutely barbaric acts of violence comitted on a daily basis by our enemies. Ironically, the New York Times reports the Valeri Plame affair as though it was the absolute worst thing in the world to divulge the identity of a CIA agent (and she wasn’t a covert agent). However, the New York Times does not hesitate for a moment to divulge the most important intelligence gathering secrets of the NSA to the whole world. ABC, CBS, NBC and CNN happily regurgitate the hypocritical and treasonous stories printed in the New York Times.

At least Drudge and FOX news are not traitors.

  8. Quinn McMurtry says:

Matt, Sometimes plays a song that sound like the Bee Gees…no lyrics just a melodic la, la, la…. and I cannot find anywhere…anyone know?????

  9. RegoPark says:

It’s actually the closing refrain of “(Love is) Thicker Than Water” by Andy Gibb, the late youngest brother of Barry, Maurice, and Robin. The song came out in the late 70s.

  10. Quinn McMurtry says:

    Thank you,,,Thank you…!
