***XXX: Drudge Apologizes On-Air XXX***
It wouldn’t be so amusing were there any possibility of calculated histrionics. But after you follow him for awhile and know what makes him ornery, it’s a hoot to listen to Drudge go running off at the mouth over an injustice he’s passionate about (see yesterday’s entry). But then came words I never expected to hear out of his mouth: “I’m sorry for the rant and rave about the full-body X-ray.”
I’ve never known for Drudge to really apologize or backtrack for anything publicly since the post-Blumenthal mea culpa in the Washington Post…Just found it amusing, that’s all.

Rego, do you ever do a quick run-down of what Drudge talked about during his radio show? I used to love reading the next-day 90210 reviews by this guy who I thought was gonna be big and write a book but then just disappeared. I don’t always get to hear his Sunday programs, and when I do, I often catch only the odd hour, and never in any logical order — last hour one Sunday, first hour another, second hour another. And sometimes I fall asleep. I mean just an outline of the points he hit. And I’d alternate posting with you if you wanted to do that here or at Drudge Forum — this weekend, for example, I could take notes.

I was going transcribe the shows at one point but Lance and I worried about copyright issues. There IS a site that archives the entire show. I could find it for you later — it’s somewhere on the DrudgeBlog archives…
But yes, I do outline the shows and track some quotes verbatim. The rundown, alas, takes more time with I have right now (I’m finishing the book by New Year’s.)
Let me get back with you on DrudgeForum on the posting thing — it’s Lance’s site, so it’s his decision, but it would be fabulous with me.
